wordpress logoI’m very excited to share with you my favorite sources for premium WordPress themes. I trust these sources and love their work! I wanted to put together this list to personally keep track of all my favorite resources as well as share them with you in case you’re looking to find themes on your own. Keep in mind I’ve used themes from every company I’m recommending so you can be assured these are good resources for themes.

What makes a good WordPress theme?

Themes with state of the art code and smart design architecture, which essentially mean search engines clearly see your content. Another big plus is when the theme is constantly updated and the theme builders fix the bugs when needed. WordPress is constantly updated, so it means the theme will most likely need to be updated as well. Great support and documentation is also a plus.

Genesis Framework for WordPressStudioPress
Perhaps one of the most trusted WordPress developers out there in the WordPress community. They create powerful and well coded themes. See this post on why I love Genesis and Studiopress. “When you buy a StudioPress theme, you’re getting state of the art code, smart design architecture, as well as an array of beautiful frames for your content — all powered by the Genesis Framework. You get unlimited access to our dedicated support team, as well as unlimited theme updates.”

I’ve purchased more themes here than anywhere else! It is one of my favorite places to find great premium themes. Why? Because this brilliant site allows you to find well-made themes from a variety of different developers. That means you get a full range of choices of beautiful designs. Tip: make sure to choose a theme with a high rating. If you do, you get a well developed theme with good support.

Creative Market
One of my new favorite markets not just for themes, but graphics, photos, fonts, and add-ons. You’ll find the styles and designs in this shop exceptionally crafty and creative for today’s hipster. Sometimes I wish I had time to work on more projects just so I can use some of the beautiful offerings in this site! Highly recommended as a one-stop shop for everything you need on your next web project or small business venture.

Elegant Themes
I’ve been a member for a few years now, and I feel like I’m stealing from this guy. Of course I’m not, but at $69 a year with access to a HUGE range of wonderful themes, you would feel like you’re stealing, too.

The support is also wonderful. I’ve only had great experiences from this company.

Mojo ThemesMojo Themes
A popular theme marketplace that has a TON of themes from different developers. You’ll find quality themes from talented designers with fantastic customer support. Just like Themeforest, you’ll find plenty of themes to choose from for other platforms other than WordPress as well. Definitely worth checking out!

Organic Themes
Here, you’ll find a handful of beautifully made themes by a trusted resource that has been around for awhile now. The designs are fresh, modern, and mobile friendly. You get helpful support and regular updates for the themes. I’ve had great experiences with this company. Highly recommended.

WPZOOM - Premium WordPress ThemesWPzoom
“We provide top quality premium WordPress themes at amazing prices with excellent lifetime support included.” With a few different sign-up options, you’ll most likely find what you need here. There is a huge selection of themes to choose from!

Original WP by ThemeFuseThemeFuse
Here is another great source for a wide variety of themes with good support. The designs are beautiful and modern!

Like the rest of the recommended companies, they provide a forum support for the themes, but you can access it without logging in.

Quality Themes, Quality SupportObox
In addition to providing themes, Obox also makes plugins. For a low membership fee of $15 a month, you get access to all their themes. They also have a few beautiful Tumblr themes as well.
