AdSense is a contextual network for advertisements designed by Google, which works as a publishing platform for all manners of publishers. Publishers are free to log in and publish relevant advertorial content, and the profits gained by virtue of customers clicking on those ads then have to be shared with Google. The revenue stream generated by AdSense has been proven to be effective and continuous, helping publishers arrive upon a baseline for the expenses incurred in their ad inventory. Although underpriced in some cases, it still works because the deficit is simply a trade-off with automated ad sales. It works in the cost per click and CPM formats with ad formats being either one of text, graphic, animations or videos.
