Another highly talked about the update by Google was the Panda update, which was launched in February 2011 with the latest version has come in July 2015. This update was simply a step towards ensuring better and more relevant search results for their users. While fetching search results mainly involves going through the length of an article, and searching for particular keywords within it, this was also problematic as it allowed for websites with much shorter content and theoretically less relevant results to show up. Besides dealing with this problem, the Panda update also found a solution for the problem of duplicate results by devaluing the search rankings of duplicate pages.
